A London-based artist, Ben Turnbull born in 1974 and expelled from two schools where he used to spent time drawing and carving out some exquisite caricatures on to a desk which today had led him to be one of the controversial artists with his controversial works, surely knows how to make strong impact with his art.
Shot by a friend of mine at New Years down in Devon - we loved this shot so much I had it blown up and framed. Me and @mscheeseontoast (My wife's Twitter name) on the left.
NB: Now I know I'm no size 0 but I did have a very big puffa jacket on and everybody else was about 7 stone - honest.
Like watching a combination of Heat and The Dark Knight, while trying to be sold everything you ever wanted or needed - 100% full fat awesomeness. 01/03/2010 Update: Well it would seem the Vimeo boys have had to take it down. Well at least YouTube will let you see the trailer. Enjoy.
You should really subscribe to the BFI's YouTube channel. There's some great footage from the past including locations, films and world events and it's really quite nostalgic. Great if you've got a spare 10 minutes to see 'how it used to be'.
*I'm afraid I cannot quantify as to whether any Flies were hurt in the shooting of these photographs. On inspection, I'm guessing they probably were (if not already deceased) at the time of the shoot.
